crossing4Gaza, March 14, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - Israeli authorities opened today Karem Abu Salem Crossing to allow entry of limited quantities of fuel and food aid into the Gaza Strip.

Raed Fatouh, Palestinian crossings official, told SAFA news agency that "the occupation authorities will pump limited quantities of cooking gas and fuel needed to run the power station in Gaza."

The power station in Gaza is suffering from a crisis due to the shortage of fuel.

He added that it will allow the entry of 66-46 vans loaded with aid and goods for the agricultural and industrial sectors and two vans for the electricity company. In addition, three vans of flowers will be exported.

Israel will keep Al-Montar Crossing closed for today, he said.
