Gaza to launch “Loreca” website for culture and arts

Lorca2Gaza, January 20, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) -launching "Loreca" website for culture and arts from Gaza Strip is declared on Tuesday. The name of the website was driven in regard to the Spanish artist, poet and musician Federico Garcia Loreca, under the supervision of a number of artists of culture and art fields.

The site manager, artist and director Sameh Al-Madhon said: "launching Loreca website is unique jump in Websites majors as the Arab world and the Palestinian people in particular lack to the specialized cultural and artistry websites."

Al-Madhon added the Loreca website contains a large number of specialized sections in culture and art including poetry, prose, story, theater, music, directing and the visual arts. It based on by members posts, hoping that this website will be a motivation for Palestinians and Arabs intellectuals and artists.

He also called intellectuals, artists, writers and authors to visit the website to be partners in this cultural and intellectual accomplishment. Besides, he urged them to contribute to its success on the one hand and spread their creativity to the whole world on the other.

Meanwhile, Gaza Strip is witnessing an extraordinary cultural progress recently through the cultural activities. It has an increased interest in poets, writers and intellectuals. Recently, Gaza Strip lived the opening ceremony of the Association of Palestinian Writers and artists. In addition to, the Syrian artist delegation who visited the Stripe to commemorate the first anniversary of Gaza war.
