
Gaza, 30 March (Pal Telegraph)- Palestinian medical team working in the Department of Medical Surgery, at Al-Shifa’ medical complex in Gaza, has succeeded in performing 4 critical surgeries to eradicate cancerous tumors in only one week. In a press release, the ministry of health has declared that distinguished doctors have performed the four surgeries with Doctor Osama Aeklok, the head of surgery department.
The ministry pointed out that the last surgery was performed for Karim Saadi (27 years) who underwent an urgent surgery for a brain tumor in the left temple lobe. Then signs of recovery started to be observed, noting that it was transferred to intensive care in order to observe his progression. It has also drawn the attention to the fact that the doctors have performed other surgeries this week.
The first of which was an eradication of secondary brain tumor from the left forehead temple lobe to the patient Salah al-Sharif (67 years) who suffered from disturbances in perception, memory, and walking and is now following the treatment in neurosurgery department.
The medical team, at the Department of Surgery in the same week, was able to eradicate a very large brain tumor in the left forehead lobe of the girl Rowan Al-Hajj (13 years) who was suffering from a state of semi-coma. Her health is improving while completing the treatment in the department; according to the ministry.
The ministry added that the most notable and critical surgery was carried out for the girl Aya Abdul Hadi (6 years), who reached the hospital after being transferred from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the case of a surprise semi-coma, “she was suffering from a very large brain tumor in the right part of the cerebellum with bleeding within the brain tumor and edema. The patient is still under the care of doctors and is in critical condition. "
The ministry mentioned in the press release that it is determined once again to pursue the progression and success despite the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip in order to keep abreast of developments in the medical field at the global level.
