USA, August 31, 2009, (Pal Telegraph) - Having completed my previous series on DU I thought I would leave you all with a wonderful factual film about the horror & repercussion of using weapons that contain components of uranium.
We have now reached a stage where the US, UK, NATO and Israel Forces no longer care what they use, who they kill including their own troops. Now we are finding 4th Generation Weapons emerging that contain both DU & EU (Dirty Weapons).

When you see this film you will realise that such people as Rogel Helbig and Nigel Lamb are nothing more than imbeciles with little knowledge or compassion for the millions of people around the world suffering from the effects of Depleted Uranium (DU). They continuously attack anyone who challenges DU and fervently support the nuclear industry and encourage the distribution of nuclear waste into someone else's backyard. They are both traitors to America.

An award winning documentary film produced for German television by Freider Wagner and Valentin Thurn. The film exposes the use and impact of radioactive weapons during the current war against Iraq. The story is told by citizens of many nations. It opens with comments by two British veterans, Kenny Duncan and Jenny Moore, describing their exposure to radioactive, so-called ‘depleted' uranium (DU), weapons and the congenital abnormalities of their children. Dr. Siegwart-Horst Günther, a former colleague of Albert Schweitzer, and Tedd Weyman of the Uranium Medical Research Centre (UMRC) travelled to Iraq, from Germany and Canada respectively, to assess uranium contamination in Iraq. It is time that we, the people of the world, the victims of their gross neglect, stood firm on this issue and demanded that the United Nations be forced to act in a manner to truly represent the nations of the world and not to continue as a puppet to the US and the Security Council. It is time that the United Nations was restructured in order for it to act on behalf of the majority and not the privileged few.
How can the United Nations (UN) and The World Health Organisation (WHO) continue to turn their back on evidence that these weapons are extremely harmful to humankind and all fall into the category of "Indiscriminate Weapons" and accordingly are totally illegal?
There is no way to turn it off, and there is no way to clean it up. It meets the US Government's own definition of Weapons of Mass Destruction".
As Leuren Moret pointed out "Once Uranium burns, it is a poison gas. Just like smoke rings that disappear in a room within minutes, these invisible dust particles of DU are bumped by air molecules which keep them suspended indefinitely and they begin dispersing locally in air. As the DU nanoparticles, which are atmospheric dust size particles of DU, are mobilized from the point source or bomb impact sites etc., they become part of weather systems and air masses in the Troposphere, and move very quickly in all directions from the conflict zone as the maps show. They quickly rise up to higher altitudes to become part of atmospheric dust clouds that travel long distances around the world and are completely mixed in the global atmosphere within one year. When moisture is present in the air masses, the DU particles become nucleating agents for water, and when they are heavy enough they drop from the sky as raindrops or fog or even attached to snowflakes - this is known as "rainout".
Because the DU is mostly confined to the Troposphere, the most dynamic part of the atmosphere, nearly all the DU particles are rained out in 2 months - causing a horrific global nuclear war in fact. As the rainout of these particles contaminates our biosphere, all living things are affected - the oceans, plants, animals, and especially humans who are more sensitive to radiation exposure than many animals. As the particles fall to the ground in rain, or are remobilized in dust storms in arid regions, they contaminate the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. There is no longer anywhere on this planet where we can hide from the global nuclear genocide".
Leuren went on the say "The particles have surfaces that are wet and they stick to whatever they land on - rocks, sand, dirt, buildings, bodies of water, plants and leaves, skin - and they are nearly impossible to remove even with heavy scrubbing. As we breathe them, which is the most dangerous pathway into our bodies, they go directly into the blood from the lungs. The good thing about rainout is that they are removed from the atmosphere so they are no longer being inhaled. However they get into the groundwater and drinking water, and even at extremely low doses, environmental uranium causes infertility and reproductive cancers. As the environmental uranium moves through the biosphere, it degrades all living things, and the damage is cumulative and permanent". Her closing comments were that these weapons are totally illegal:

DU and EU Uranium weapons violate the UN Convention on
Human Rights:
TEMPORAL TEST - Weapons must not continue to act after the battle is over.
ENVIRONMENTAL TEST - Weapons must not be unduly harmful to the environment
TERRITORIAL TEST - Weapons must not act off of the battlefield.
HUMANENESS TEST - Weapons must not kill or wound inhumanly.
This is a perfect example of a depleted uranium explosion showing the initial impact prior to the formation of a huge dense dark black dust cloud (aerosol). Once formed it ascends thousands of feet into the worlds atmosphere to commence it long journey across international borders and the world. It contaminates both humans and our environment indiscriminately.
