Gaza, December 27, 2009 (Pal Telegraph) - Israel launched on 27th December 2008 a full invasion against the innocent civilians in Gaza lasted for 23 days. Israel was saying the War is against military factions who lunch missiles towards the occupied lands in south of Palestine. Sixty Israeli warplanes were launched throughout the Gaza Strip. Attacks were directed against security and police headquarters, and governmental institutions that provide daily services to the population. The timing of the strikes indicates the Israelis intended to cause maximum civilian casualties.
Sunday, 27th December, 2009, Gaza commemorates the first anniversary of Gaza war. The ministries in Gaza Strip have been prepared a schedule of activities to be held in the first anniversary of the Israeli offensive in Gaza.
The traffic stooped for a minute and warning siren was triggered. Gaza streets live a minute of silence to remember the martyrs of the war and the injuries who have been suffering for a year.
A children march was one of the activities which Gaza streets lived Gaza's children went in a march to send a message to the world that they are steadfast despite of the war and the siege. One of the children who participated in the march said "we will learn the world from our childhood the steadfastness". Mariam another child added "we as orphans who Israel killed their parents come here to call on the whole world who observe us and the Arabian countries in particular to end the siege"
Children still suffer from trauma and other physical disorders. Some of them lost their parents, brothers, sisters and their houses too.
Besides, a march of ambulances launched from Gaza hospitals and travelled in Gaza streets as an activity of commemorating the war anniversary. A year ago Gaza hospitals lived an emergency case; 2-3 wounded victims shared one bed due to lack of medical equipment, as a result of the Israeli siege imposed 2 years ago at that time.
