Washington , January 19, 2009, ( Pal Telegraph) - Tzipi Livni, Israeli opposition leader and former foreign minister, expressed on Monday during an interview on CNN that she is ready to face UK arrest warrant for investigation in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip last winter.

It is worth noting that the British court issued arrest warrant against Tzipi Livni last year .The details of the warrant arrest were never made public; the warrant was reportedly later canceled.

The reporter of CNN's Christiane Amanpour asked Livni whether she was willing to face arrest.Livni replied, "I mean, yes, the answer is yes. I am" "I would like this to be, in a way, maybe even a test case, because I'm willing to speak up and to speak about the military operation in Gaza Strip"
As it is known, Livni had served as Israel's foreign minister during an Israeli military offensive against Gaza Strip. The United Nations and some human-rights groups accused Israeli forces of committing violations and abuses for human rights during the war.

However, Livni defended the former government's decision to go to war, saying that the campaign was needed to confront home made rocket attacks by Palestinian from Gaza on Israeli people, particularly those living in southern Israel.
