Gaza, March 6, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - Israeli occupation forces opened fire today at Gazan workers near Erez crossing northern Gaza Strip, no casualties were reported.

Witnesses confirmed to SAFA news agency that Israeli soldiers stationed in the observation towers in the area of Beit Hanoun fired bullets toward the workers who were collecting scrap metal from the destroyed buildings near the area causing no injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the shooting caused panic among both workers and farmers who were forced to leave the place.

Gazans collect scrap metal from the close areas to the border of northern Gaza Strip for sale them due to the difficult living conditions the people live under the siege which imposed on Gaza four years ago.
