Gaza Strip, March 18, 2010 (Pal Telegraph)- Israeli occupation authorities opened on Thursday Karem Abu Salem and Al-Montar crossings in part to allow limited amounts of aid and fuel into the Gaza Strip.
Raed Fattouh, Palestinian border crossings official, said: "Israeli occupation authorities will allow today entry of 110 - 120 truckloads of aid and goods for commercial and agricultural sectors, through Karem Abu Salem."
He added that they will also allow limited amount of cooking gas and industrial diesel needed to run Gaza's power plant, and that three trucks loaded with flowers will be exported abroad.
He said that Al-Montar crossing will be open for 125 trucks loaded with wheat and fodder, indicating that occupation authorities allowed on Wednesday 78 trucks loaded with goods and aid into the Gaza Strip, 182 tons of cooking gas and 223.000 liters of industrial diesel, while three truckloads of flowers were exported outside.
The Gaza Strip has been under strict Israeli-imposed siege for four years, where Israel controls borders and allows in only limited amounts of aid and fuel.
