UN chief Ban Ki-Moon heads to Gaza

Gaza, March 20, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - TheBan Ki-moon heads on Sunday to the Gaza Strip after participating in a meeting with the Quartet in Moscow.

UNRWA spokesman, Adnan Abu Hasna, told SAFA news agency that Ban Ki-moon will arrive Gaza Strip via Beit Hanoun crossing tomorrow and then he will start his visit to Abed Rabbo area, east of northern Gaza, to see the suffering of its people.

He added that the UN
secretary general will visit a housing project implemented by the UN in Al-Amal area in western Khan Younis, where he will hold a press conference at the end of his brief visit to Gaza.

Moon visited the Gaza Strip after the Israeli war on Gaza in 2009, but did not meet any of the government leaders. In his visit he called to lift the Israeli restrictions which imposed on Gaza.
