Gaza, March 27, (Pal telegraph) When an Israeli institution caring for the poor decided to issue a declaration to donate to poor children in Israel, it couldn’t find a more expressive image of a child crying, but, paradoxically, the picture were not of an Israeli girl, but a Palestinian girl grieving the loss of her relatives who were killed by Israel during the vicious war on Gaza last year ; which led Israel to accidentally recognize the miserable destiny of the Palestinian children.

According to Holland’s international radio station, an Israeli foundation named "Meir Banim" that works in the field of poor relief in Israel, used an image of a girl crying in an electronic Ad published on several sites, including the Foundation's website itself, and "Ha'aretz" Israeli newspaper, entitled "Feed the Hungry and wretched children of Israel ".

However, the Palestinian bloggers websites pointed out that the image is of a Palestinian girl crying after the loss of her family in an Israeli raid on the Gaza Strip in early January 2009, shot by Palestinian cameraman Fadi Adwan; where he was involved in the funeral of five of her relatives who were killed in the raid.

After taking notice, “Meir Banim” changed the picture claiming that the responsibility was on the American branch of the foundation who bought the picture among other similar source from a whole different source.

On his behalf, Fadi assured that he didn’t sell them the picture and that he has the full rights of owning the picture as he took it by his own lance. Fadi also explained that the picture is sold only once for distribution with its full details of caption and owner.

Fadi worked last year as a freelancer for the Associated press among other agencies while covering the massive impacts of Israel’s war against Gaza.
