Gaza, March 27, (Pal Telegraph) The IOF started an investigation to find out what went wrong during Gaza's invasion on friday, March 26th.
Many scenarios were surfacing talking about tactical errors that occurred during the invasion, other allegations dicussed that it wasnt an ambush. Some are even questioning the deputy commander’s poor decisions which got him killed.
Even though the army backed Major Peretz’s decision, they did recognize that there were many tactical errors that should have been avoided. They also assured that even though these decisions resulted the loss of 32-year-old Major Eliraz Peretz and 21-year-old Staff Sergeant Ilan Sviatkovsky, they were the right thing to do after noticing two Palestinians getting near the IOF gathering.
“They were doing their duty by defending the IOF gathering, so they acted in a matter that suited the situation without thinking of further consequences”, claimed the army.
“ Maybe the mistake was in engaging the enemy directly without a plan”, they added.
