Gaza, March 30, (Pal Telegraph) The exhibition "Innovation under siege” illustrated the magnitude of the challenge that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip show in light of the continued Israeli siege of four years ago, where a group of Palestinian companies managed to display products based on manufactured remnants of buildings and local raw materials, in a way that shows the ability of the Palestinians to cope with reality.
Ten companies and factories participated in the exhibition, which lasted three days and was organized by the General Union of Palestinian Industries with funding from the "project to develop new markets”, all ten suffered loses due to the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip.
The Executive Director of the General Union of Palestinian Industries in the Gaza Strip Amr Hamad, said that the main objective behind the exhibition is to encourage the industrial creators who took advantage of less potentials to do something useful, and tell the public about the crafts that are still manufactured in the sector, even though the siege is continuous. He stressed that the exhibition had a message to the international community that the Palestinian private industrial sector continues to exist and did not die yet so they should work to intensify efforts to support it, and that the Palestinian people can create and revive the industry despite the blockade.
