Gaza, May 5, (Pal Telegraph) - In a speech delivered by, Hamas Premier in Gaza; Ismail Hanya showed full readiness for dialogue with Europeans for peace. The speech was delivered for thousands of Palestinians living in Europe within the seventh annual International Conference on the Right of Return in Milan, Italy.

The conference was headlined as "Right of Return: Nonnegotiable and not to be relinquished," and marks the 61st anniversary of al-Nakba, "the catastrophe" in which nearly a million Palestinians were made refugees in 1948.
Hanya's speech lasted for 3 minutes in which he stated the following and here is the full speech translated by the Palestine Telegraph.

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most gracious

Dear brothers and sisters; Dear people of the Palestinian, Arab and Islamic community in Europe,
Dear honorable guests, Peace and mercy and blessings of Allah be with you

At first, allow me to send you the best greetings and regards from the holy land of Palestine, from the land of pride and steadfastness from the Gaza Strip. All thanks and appreciation; for the brothers who organized this convention. I pray for Allah that your efforts would be in your balance of good deeds and a reason of blessing for you.

There is no doubt, that by this conference you send signs of solidarity and support for your people in Palestine. No doubt that this conference doubles our capability to remain steadfast. By your good efforts our abilities to challenge and face the aggressors grow more and more and our spirits grow as well so we forget our wounds and pain.

The massive audience of this convention gives us the most wonderful meanings and significance of the Almighty saying, "We will grant you power buy the support of your brother"

When the Israeli occupation forces began its latest aggression on the Gaza Strip in late last December and launched the military machine to destroy crops and cattle. Thousands were killed and injured. The occupation worked hard to destroy the infrastructure, target populated areas, and destroy schools, hospitals, mosques, gardens, and governmental bodies. Even cemeteries were sabotaged and destroyed.

During this tragic scene in one hand and the legendary steadfastness in the other hand; you were exerting all efforts to stop the aggression and scandalize it. Your efforts succeeded in mobilizing most of western countries and you moved the consciences of people as well as human rights associations.

We have been following with pride your massive actions and crowds. You were really a turning point in the history of our Nation. Through your position you will be by God will, witnesses of the civilization and goodness of this nation for all nations.

We address you at this moment, the moment of steadiness, victory, pride and dignity of our Palestinian nation in the occupied territories and the Diaspora. The moment of reward for the wounded children and victims of the battle of Forqan (Forqan battle is the name of the last Israeli war on Gaza; it means a battle between the goodness and evil) this convention reconfirms on your national duty and commitment to your fixed rights.

Dear brothers, sisters and honorable guests,

We ask your convention today to take care on the following points:

First, we aspire you encourage human rights institutions to send fact-finding commissions to see first-hand; the magnitude of the crimes committed by the occupation against the unarmed civilians, women and children in the Gaza Strip. Then we request you to work on bringing the Israeli war criminals (perpetrators) to the international tribunals, local and European courts. We invite you to work on establishing several museums in European capitals to document Israeli war crimes against our people and to protect the history of our cause. Our cause; which the Zionist propaganda machine is trying to hide it and delete it from the memory of the people of European countries.

Second, since the failure of aggression to topple down the castles or forts or penetrate extract positions, through legendary steadfastness of our people both politically and militarily; many parties sought to deprive our people from the investment of the victory and steadfastness. The harsh blockade continues and the ramifications double on our people due to the closure of the crossings and the prevention of reconstruction process. From this perspective, we emphasize the need to coordinate efforts with the humanitarian organizations, associations, human rights and peace activists in Europe to encourage them come to the occupied territories in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. We encourage you to send convoys of humanitarian and medical aids by sea to lift the the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip which was clear through the efforts of Free Gaza Movement which continues to send boats to Gaza and the land convoys and let me here thank MP George Gallaway and all those who came with him.

In this context, we do welcome the ~Hope For Gaza Convoy~ which is leaving to Gaza directly after this conference.

Third, we hope you pressure to convince the decision makers in the West on the necessity to respect the choices of the Palestinian people away from the double standard policies. Hamas movement won free elections in which the world world has witnessed it as a fair and transparent one. It's a must to recognize the results of these elections and not to deny it. It's a must to make this experience succeed instead of launching campaigns of irritation which is in contrary to the principle of democracy deployment in the region.

Fourth, Jerusalem which is the capital of Arab culture for the year 2009 is in great danger due to the serious Israeli attacks in an attempt to wrest the city from its surroundings and the strategic depth through settlement buidling, excavation, construction of synagogues and the determination to demolish the houses as being done in AL Bostan neighborhood. These doings require a practical awakening to protect Jerusalem and its people. We look forward to the Conference to take the needed action at that level, to support the resoluteness of our people in Jerusalem. In this occasion, we salute our people in Jerusalem and Palestinians the occupied 48 land, led by Sheikh Raed Salah, who represents the nation beside his brothers to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the protection its cultural identity

Israeli army has bet on the military machine, the pressure by siege and division to break the will of our people to defeat resistance. However, the legendary of steadfastness of our people pushed the occupier to re-count its plans. The internal Palestinian front remained coherent and a spirit of solidarity with the brave Palestinian resistance was the most wonderful manifestations.

We have witnessed the manifestation of a new spirit spread through the masses of our Arab and Islamic countries. This indicates that the nation is still well and the long dark night of injustice is about to rise. Israeli occupation was defeated as it has realized that the stakes to destroy popular internal front has been failure and that the preparations for the sacrifice of our people was higher. Additionally, the stance of Liberals in the world was blessed in support of us. The occupation was defeated adding to its record a new defeat beside the other failures

The God will was achieved again as it was in Badr Battle, "How a small group defeated a group of many; God is with the steadfast people"

Brothers and sisters, directly after the Israeli attack on Gaza. A serious national dialogue, under the auspices of Egyptian and Arabs started. The dialogue came from the need to restore unity and an end the national division and reunify our Palestinian front through a national unity government. A dialogue that leads to build professional security body committed by the national agenda and developing of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).

Rehabilitation of the PLO is the guarantee of success of the dialogue and for the protection of any agreement in the future. Therefore we call on your conference to support the national dialogue away from foreign intervention, and only a support on the best interests of the Palestinian people. We must adhere to the PLO file to help our people in the Diaspora and in all places; especially the recent existing institutions of the PLO suffer from legal, constitutional and operational problems.

Dear brothers and sisters, Dear honorable guests,

In the sixty-first anniversary of the catastrophe (Nakba) of our people. We still live in the plight of suffering and pain in camps and Diaspora. In spite of the harshness of the conditions and pains; settlement policy, construction of the wall and having more than 11 thousand Palestinian prisoners, including head of Palestinian legitimacy and Dr. Aziz Dweik, Speaker of the Legislative Palestinian Council and in spite of the policy of Israeli occupation repression against our people in the territory of 48; despite all the above measures and doings; the Palestinian people approved they are still committed to the promise being made to our grand ancestors and grandparents. The promise of being custodians of the land and the holy sites the promise of not give up one inch, and not be deviated our rights; the right of return of more than 6 million Palestinians living outside their. That right which can't be given up and it's being guaranteed by UN resolution 194.

By God's will, Our journey of struggle in the defense of our national rights will continue until we achieve fruitful results that lead to the right of return of our people to their homes so they have the joy and happiness back. In the occasion of 61st anniversaries of the Nakba our dream of the return is renewed while the determination of our people is deeply rooted to have a long-live Palestine. Your conference which is held this year under the slogan, "The right of return... non negotiable and can't be relinquished" is a best proof that this right does not fall by limitations because this right is being protected by a good and strong generation. A generation that considers the right of return as a fixed fact under all circumstances.

Dear brothers and sisters, Dear honorable guests,

We assert our commitment of openness and dialogue with the international community and we look forward to the recent contacts with the Europeans with government in Gaza. We insist on the development of these communications. The openness is required to deepen the relationship and put it on the right track. From this stage, we call for a European decision to omit Hamas movement and Palestinian resistance factions from the so-called list of terrorism. The decision of classifying Hamas as a terrorist organization is basically wrong since Hamas is a national liberation organization operating within the occupied territories. The problem of Hamas is with Israeli occupation and Hamas doesn't seek to expand the conflict with anyone in the international community.

>Finally, we assure you of our commitment to the protection of the fixed track of our rights, principles, the legitimacy of resistance and the pursuit of genuine national unity and to ensure that the issue remains alive in the minds of the Palestinian nation and the generations.
