Gaza,(Pal Telegraph) - Five Gazan workers  were injured yesterday in a tunnel collapse between the borders of southern Gaza strip and Egypt.

Medical sources at Yousef Al-Najjar hospital  said that five Palestinians were injured and suffered third- grade burns while they were working there .

They  were evacuated to Naser hospital, in khan Younis and to A-l Shifa hospital in Gaza city because of their serious injures ,Sources added.

Security sources said to SAFA news agency that the collapse took place due to a tube of poison gas  caused  an explosion with the other gas tubes .

Investigations are under way  to find out the cause behind the incident, pointing out that more than four tunnels in the place were severely damaged, sources reported.

It is noteworthy that dozens of Gazans work in tunnels and expose their lives to danger inorder to smuggle goods into the blockaded Gaza strip since 2007.
