West Bank, January 10, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - Eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces started early on Sunday knocking down houses and sheep barns belonging to Palestinian farmers in Nablus in the West Bank.
Palestinian sources said that the Israeli forces stormed into Khirbet Tana village, close to Nablus city, and knocked down farmers' houses and sheep barns.
Ghasan Daghas, Palestinian official said that 20 Israeli vehicles and 6 bulldozers participated in the demolition. He pointed out that they demolished farmers' houses and sheep barns.
Israeli forces are searching for 220 Palestinians villagers, living in this area. The president of Biet Fourik Municipality, Atef Hanni, said that Israel keeps destroying their houses and deporting them from their place. He added Israel has destroyed 6 houses expecting that it may destroy other 15 house.
Palestinian farmers reside in this pastoral land, yet it is used by Israel as a base for military training, and has an army camp adjacent to it.
The Israeli forces claim that this area is closed, and that entrance is prohibited, while a number of Jewish agricultural settlements are located close to this area, overlooking Al-Aghwar.
