Palestinian prisoner enters his 33rd year in Israeli jails

detaineesRamallah, April 3, 2010 (Pal Telegraph) - Prisoners' Center for studies said that the Palestinian longest term serving in the Israeli jails, Na’l Al-Barghouti, will enter tomorrow his 33rd year in the Israeli jails.

The director of the Prisoners' Center for studies, Rafat Hamdounah, said that Al-Barghouti is the oldest prisoner in the Israeli jails and he is called the Palestinian longest term serving in the Israeli jails as he was detained when he was 20 years.

He added that Al-Barghouti is one of the Palestinian leaders in the Israeli jails. He was moved to many jails and prohibited from visits under the pretext of security.

Al-Barghouti was born in Ramallah in 1957 and was detained in 4th April, 1978 and was sentenced for life.
