West Bank, May 15, (Pal Telegraph) A report issued by the Ministry of Prisoners showed that the Palestinian female prisoners in Israeli jails outnumbers 34 captives, they are subjected to a series of measures and severe penalties by the prison’s administration because of a hunger strike that they started on 17 / 4 and 27 / 4 of last month, they also declined any family visits to show their commitment to this positive move which was announced by the prisoners and their families. the sanctions imposed on the Palestinian female prisoners consisted of reducing the duration of their break to one hour instead of 3 hours, preventing the female prisoners from working in the sections of the prison and denying them their rights of buying from the prison’s cafteria for a whole month, in addition to the prevention of family visits until the date of 13/05/2010.

Its noteworthy that the Palestinian female prisoners have been subjected to sever unjust punishments by the prison’s administration in terms of preventing the introduction of clothes, shoes, letters and books and not to allowing the married female prisoners to meet their husbands, in addition to deprivation of family visits.
