Silwan, (Pal Telegraph) - Israeli  occupation forces carried out yesterday till early hours of today  a raid against Silwan town and detained a number of Palestinian children and youths, using helicopters and sniffer dogs.

Israeli army raided Batn El-Hawa neighborhood, in silwan with tear gas and  sound bombs  toward the civilians’ houses .

Witnesses said that heavy clashes were erupted between Israeli soldiers and Palestinians because of the harassment taken by one of the soldiers against a Palestinian woman .In response, the neighborhood residents protested in the streets to stop Israeli violent actions; tens of injures were reported .

Fakhri Abu Diab, a member of Silwan defense committee, pointed out that Israeli  soldiers attempted yesterday to detain a Palestinian woman, claiming her sharing in the clashes, that provoked the Palestinian citizens frustration to respond by stones and empty bottles .

Israeli army stressed to continue its attack  in silwan under the pretext of ending the state of chaos  in the area.

Tension and fear among Silwan residents are increasing since Israeli forces are roaming in the streets, erecting barricades ,in addition to verifying the citizen’s ID cards, claiming they are searching for what they called wanted people.
