West Bank, (Pal Telegraph)-Violent clashes erupted Tuesday evening between Palestinian residents and Israeli forces in several districts of Silwan town, southern Al-Qsaa mosque.
Fakhri Abu Diab, a member of Silwan defense committee, said "clashes took place the streets of Silwan town and concentrated around the protest tent in Al-Bustan neighborhood, the areas of Ras al-Amud, Bir Ayyub, and Baten al-Hawa."
Add to this, Israeli military forces lunched a barrage of sound and gas bombs at civilians' houses and protestors in the streets leaving a number of suffocations as a result of inhaling smoke of the toxic gas.
Witnesses told WAFA News Agency that dozens of youths threw stones at Bait Yontan settlement, while the guards opened massive and indiscriminate gunfire causing a state of panic among women and children.
Citizens of Silwan town expressed their fear of being captured by Israeli police due to involving in such demonstrations since occupation forces detained Jawad Siyam, Wadi Helwa center director for the same reason.
