Settlers attack homes, uproot olive trees in Bethlehem

West Bank, (Pal Telegraph)- A number of Jewish settlers accompanied by Israeli military forces started uprooting 25 olive trees near the Fureidis mount in the east of Bethlehem and attacked civilian houses.


Local sources said that dozens of settlers carrying machine guns stormed yesterday night agricultural lands belong to Ahmed Al-Wahesh and uprooted hundreds of olive trees before their withdrawing at morning, leaving great damage with the properties.


The Fureidis mount and the surrounded area are exposed to several attacks by Israeli soldiers and settlers; many Palestinian farmers were harassed during their work . Such Israeli raid aimed at seizing more lands to expand the construction of illegal settlements.


On the other hand, a group of settlers stormed citizens’ homes in Ramida neighborhood central Hebron and severely beat many of its residents.


Sources added that another group of settlers from Hagai settlement attacked by stones civilians’ vehicles passing through the main road in the south of Hebron.
