West Bank, (Pal Telegraph)-Dozens of Israeli settlers set fire yesterday to several dunums planted with olive trees in Bart'a, a village in the south of Jenin.
Director of the civil defense in Jenin, Sami Hamdan, said that Israeli forces preventing Palestinian civil defense teams from entering the area to put out the fire and held them at a military checkpoint near the village.
Hamdan stated that Jewish settlers of the illegal settlement of Homash were behind the massive fire that caused great damages and finical losses.
Residents of Bart'a village appealed all human rights institutions to urgently intervene to stop settlers constant aggressive campaigns of attacks and harassments against unarmed civilians.
