US, September 27, 2009 (Pal Telegraph)-Former Jamaat-i-Islami Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed has claimed that US private security firm Blackwater is involved in terrorist activities in the country and it is operating under the guise of "XE International", and US intervention in the internal affairs of Pakistan has increased very much.
Talking to reporters at Multan Airport, on Saturday, Qazi said Blackwater was imparting training to ex-commandos, adding India, America and Israel were active in different parts to destabilise the country. He said, "The Nato and American forces are destined for crushing and shameful defeat in Afghanistan and they should immediately withdraw their troops from the country to save themselves from this quagmire."
Commenting on Kerry-Lugar bill, Qazi said, "Our rulers are begging from the US at the cost of our sovereignty and independence. People must wake up as our nuclear programme is insecure." He held India and Israel responsible for deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan and alleged that they were providing logistic support to nationalists and extremists.
Qazi claimed an intelligence network was being developed by the US in Islamabad and a citadel-like mission was being built with an estimated cost of one billion dollars, in which 1,000 marines, armoured vehicles and drone control-ling devices would be housed. He alleged that Interior Minister Rehman Malik was favouring the US over its designs, and misguiding the public by concealing facts and denying presence of Blackwater in the country and expansion of American embassy.
Qazi said continuing drone attacks was a failure of Pakistan's foreign policy, and warned the rulers to stop military operation in Waziristan, otherwise, it would have serious repercussions. He said, "There are no terrorists in Waziristan, but the United States wants to kill innocent people."
Drone attacks had killed hundreds of innocent people and the international community should take notice of America's excesses and violation of human rights, he added. Qazi Hussain Ahmed said his party would participate in by-elections because the party's boycott was against Pervez Musharraf's regime.
